First of all, we would like to welcome you into the Happy Gut At-Home program and congratulate you for taking this step towards better health and vitality.

In this program, we want to give you the tools you need to be as healthy as you possibly can, and overcome your long standing gut health issues.

You will be empowered with know-how and gain life-time skills. This program gives you the power and the information to get better.

Conquering your health issues may seem insurmountable at times, but always remember this: YOU CAN GET BETTER!

Before we get started, let's go over a few important points:

1- HEALING TAKES TIME.

In this program, we will try to get you healthy as fast as possible. But please do remember that healing can take time. We are trying to improve your internal ecosystem, and this will not happen overnight. Just like a garden requires time for the soil health to improve and yield healthy plants, your gut requires time to heal. So if you don't see improvements as quickly as you would like... be patient, stick with it... and you will experience far-reaching health improvements.

2- HEALING DOESN'T WORK IN A STRAIGHT LINE

Many people expect to feel progressively better as they embark on a healing journey, which can create many disappointments. Here is the truth: healing from long term health issues can be a bumpy road!

There will be many ups and downs along the way. The goal is to have fewer bad days and more good days as you progress through your journey. Using the symptoms tracker can be really helpful to keep you motivated, by helping you see that you ARE making progress.

3- HEALING CAN BE MESSY

It can be confusing, annoying and frustrating! You might be doing everything right, but some of your symptoms are not getting better. Some are actually getting worst, and you're even getting some old symptoms resurfacing. Rest assured that this is all part of the process. As long as you feel like you are seeing SOME progress, you are on the right track.

4- TRUST YOURSELF AND LISTEN TO YOUR BODY

Your body knows best what is good for you at any given time... you must learn to listen to it! If you are having a reaction to a food, it's your body telling you that this food — even if it's a super-food that has done wonders for your best friend — is not good for you right now. It can be tempting to ignore these messages... but don't, it will only slow down your progress. If something, anything, is making you feel bad, avoid it — remember, it's not forever!

Learn to tune in, and trust your intuition.

4- DON'T BECOME OVERLY OBSESSED WITH YOUR HEALTH.

We know that if you are here, it's possible that you have been working on improving your health for a while. We know it's easy to become a bit obsessed with it! We see too many people inadvertently making their health worst because they start stressing over everything... what to eat, what supplements to take, etc. We know because we've been there! However, we want to make sure you don't overly obsess over your health, and sacrifice on important things like spending time with your friends, enjoying hobbies, spending time in nature, etc.

In other words, make sure you don’t neglect the life you’re trying to improve in an attempt to become healthier.

Our hope is that this program will help you by providing clear information and structure, so that you can simply enjoy the process, and reap the benefits.

5- DON'T WORRY ABOUT BEING 100% PERFECT ALL THE TIME

We can promise you that if you follow the steps outlined in this program, you'll see improvement in your health in the next few months.

However, we want to emphasise that a few slips here and there won't make a big difference in the long run, it's what you do most of the time that's important.

So if you 'cheat' on the diet, forget to take some supplements, etc, don't be too hard on yourself... you are simply human! The most important thing is to get back on track as soon as possible...we'll provide you with some tools to help with that.

Don't be fearful that an occasional off-plan meal will be a deal breaker. If you're invited to a birthday party or a wedding, don't avoid going because you're worried about diet, etc. Go, enjoy yourself and don't stress about it! Yes, you might not feel as good the next day, or even for a few days, but believe us, it will be good for your soul, and that's important too ;-)
