This energy sequence is designed to get your energy flowing and boost / balance your immune system.

We recommend doing this sequence as often as possible... the more you do it, the more you will reap the benefits.

You don't have to do the whole sequence each time. If you only have a few minutes, pick just one or two of the exercises. For instance, you can do some of those exercises while cooking (when waiting for a pan to heat up). You can even do some of it in the car, when you're stuck in traffic! The tapping is great to calm down the stress response ;-)

Many of the exercises are based on Donna Eden's teaching, who is a fantastic energy medicine teacher.

Here is a bit more information on some of the exercises you will do in the energy sequence:

AFFIRMATION INSPIRATION

Pick an affirmation that really resonates with you, for the 'zip up' at the end of the routine.

THE CROSS CRAWL, CROSSOVER SHOULDER PULL & FIGURE EIGHT

The body's energies run in patterns. A particularly important configuration, according to Donna Eden, is the 'crossover' or 'figure 8' pattern. This pattern can be found in all the body's energy system, even down to the double-helix of DNA, and is vital to maintaining healthy flow and balance.

When you have been ill for a long time, your body might get stuck in what is called a homolateral pattern, which means that your energies are not crossing over anymore, interfering with your body's ability to function optimally, affecting your energy, productivity and joy.

Doing the walking exercise and crossover shoulder pull can help to reinforce the crossover pattern and correct a homolateral pattern, putting your body back on track to working at its best, with balanced and harmonized energies. If you find it hard and tiring to do the cross crawl (opposite arm and leg), or just walking, it's a sign that you very much need this exercise!

NEUROLYMPHATIC REFLEX POINT MASSAGE

The lymphatic system is a key part of the body's immune system. It consists of a series of inter-connected vessels and glands, and serves as a sort of garbage collection system for toxins in the body's fluid. Imagine what would happen if you did not take the garbage bags out for collection on a regular basis... this is exactly what happens in your body if your lymphatic system is not draining properly ;-(

Massaging the neurolymphatic reflex points will help clear toxins that have accumulated in your lymphatic system and organs. It is possible that you may experience some nausea and mild detox reactions from this technique as the toxins are released for elimination. If this happens, you may want to start with only doing a few points at each session, and slowly work your way up to doing all of them.

Tenderness in a specific point indicates some congestion. Spend a bit more time on those points... you are clearing the congestion, which is a great thing and your body will thank you for it in due time! The tenderness should ease over time, which is an indication that you have successfully unclogged the congestion in this organ / system.

You want to apply firm pressure when massaging the points, the harder your press (within reason), the better it is.

Drink plenty of water to help flush the toxins that will be released as part of this process.
